Prasidh Krishna Vs Joe Root

Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna and ace batter Joe Root were once again involved in a heated exchange on Day 4 (Sunday, August 3) of the fifth and final Test between India and England at The Oval in London. Players from both teams are battling hard in the final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025.

Earlier, Prasidh Krishna exchanged words with Joe Root in an attempt to disrupt the batter’s concentration on Day 2. Root responded to the sledging, and umpire Kumar Dharmasena had to intervene to defuse the tension. After the day’s play, Prasidh said that it was his plan to unsettle Root with words.

The incident took place after the fifth ball of the 23rd over in England’s second innings. Root pushed a good-length ball from Prasidh towards mid-on and quickly took a single to get off the mark.

As Root completed the run, Prasidh was seen walking toward him and appearing to say something, continuing their ongoing verbal battle. Root didn’t respond to the words. The clip revealed that the feud hadn’t cooled since their earlier clash.
