Agarkar reveals why Bumrah or KL Rahul were not given leadership roles

Ajit Agarkar praised KL Rahul, as Rahul is a very important player for the team. Rahul also has experience playing in English conditions.

Rahul scored a ton in England as well. But he was also overlooked in the leadership role on the new generation side. Rahul may be an ideal candidate for taking the responsibility on his own shoulders.

“KL Rahul is a very important player for us – we are hoping for a big series from him in England. He is Crucial for us,” Ajit Agarkar added.

“KL not really, he’s captained a while back, he’s a quality player, and hope he has a big series. With Booms, it was more about his workload management.”
