West Indies pacer Jayden Seales is likely to be fined by the ICC following his actions on Day 1 of WI vs AUS 1st Test. The fast bowler finished with a five-wicket haul as Australia recorded their lowest total against Windies in 30 years. Seales and Shamar Joseph joined hands to wreak havoc on the visitors, bowling them out for 180 runs in the 1st innings.

Seales to get fined for fiery send off?

The incident occurred when a frustrated Seales pointed towards the Australian dressing room after dismissing captain Pat Cummins. The Windies pacer was miffed by the fact that the visitors’ skipper played a handy cameo while wickets continued to fall around him. Cummins managed to score 28 runs off 18 deliveries, striking three fours and one six before he was sent packing by Seales.

Seales could likely be reprimanded by the ICC for his send off to the Australian captain. The West Indies pacer finished with figures of 5/60 while his teammate Joseph registered figures of 4/46.

Batting first in the contest, Australia suffered a batting collapse, with only Usman Khawaja (47) managing to taste success. Sam Konstas, who returned as the opener for this match, departed for just 5 runs after being trapped by Joseph for an LBW. Green (3) and Josh Inglis (5) were sent packing in quick succession by Seales and Joseph.

Once again, it was Travis Head (59) who turned out to be Australia’s saviour. However, he did not receive much support from the other end. Eventually, Australia were bowled out for 180 runs.

In response, the visitors reduced West Indies to 57/4 at the end of Day 1 in Barbados. Mitchell Starc picked up two wickets while Cummins and Hazlewood bagged one scalp each. WI trail Australia by 123 runs.
