A major disruption occurred near the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Thursday, May 8, after an Indian drone reportedly crashed into a shop in the nearby Food Street area, just hours before a scheduled PSL 2025 match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings.
As reported by Pakistani media, an Indian drone hit a tree and crashed, damaging the shop’s windows. One civilian was injured in the incident and has been taken to the hospital.

The DG ISPR confirmed that drones were also disabled in Rawalpindi and Attock. The situation has raised serious concerns over security in the area as Pakistan Super League 2025 (PSL 2025) matches are scheduled at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
