Gujarat Titans (GT) wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler pulled off a brilliant run out to send back the Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounder Corbin Bosch in the 56th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
The run-out pulled off by Jos Buttler was quite special, and it looked like the Englishman channeled his inner MS Dhoni at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, May 6.
Corbin Bosch gets run out in the 20th over
Bosch came in to bat at the No.8 position after the top-order and middle-order batters of the Mumbai Indians (MI) failed to perform in the match against the Gujarat Titans (GT).
The South Africa National Cricket Team all-rounder did a good job with the bat and made a crucial contribution to take his team to a competitive total of 155/8.
He smashed 27 runs off 22 balls, with one four and two outrageous sixes, before being dismissed in the 20th over of the innings.
On the fourth ball of the 20th over, Prasidh Krishna bowled a bowled fullish delivery to Corbin Bosch just outside off-stump, and the batter tugged it towards deep mid-wicket.
He decided to come back for two runs and stretched every sinew of his body to dive and get inside the crease, but Jos Buttler didn’t allow that to happen.
Jos Buttler did remarkably well to collect a wide throw and then flick it back onto the stumps to catch Corbin Bosch just short of the crease.

Yeah, it feels like I am slowly getting there – Rashid Khan
After restricting the Mumbai Indians to 155/8, GT star spinner Rashid Khan spoke to the broadcasters and said that he is slowly getting back to his best and is currently at 70-75%. He stated:
“Yeah, it feels like I am slowly getting there. You can say 70-75% at this stage. I am becoming more effective now. I have missed my length quite a number of times and that’s why I have conceded so many runs. I wanted to bowl at the right areas today and that’s what I had in my mind.”
Rashid Khan further said that he was unable to bowl with full rhythm for 3-4 months during his rehab, which was the hardest part for him. He said:
“The hardest part for me was during the rehab. I was unable to bowl in full rhythm for 3-4 months. In that period of time, you just get used to it in terms of follow-through and landing. It’s taking time for me but I am getting there.”
Rashid Khan also revealed that the pitch at the Wankhede Stadium had something for the spinners. He stated:
“Yeah, I feel there is something for the spinners. The ball is gripping a bit and I feel, the way Sai mixed up his pace was brilliant. He got us back in the game. I feel this wicket is helpful for the spinners. You need to bowl at the right areas. We just need to play good cricket and making sure that whoever goes out there, takes the responsibility and finishes off the game for us.”
