While Sri Lanka are currently locked in a dominant Test performance against Bangladesh at home, their cricketing calendar have lined up what is after that. Up next, they are set to tour Zimbabwe for a limited-overs series, featuring two ODIs and three T20Is, scheduled just before the Asia Cup 2025, which is expected to be played in September.
Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka for 1st time after 2016
However, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is yet to confirm the dates, as uncertainty remains due to ongoing political tensions between India and Pakistan. But if it goes ahead, it will be played in September, and in T20 format.
The Zimbabwe series will mark the first bilateral meeting between the two sides in Zimbabwe since 2016. The two teams have met sporadically in ICC tournaments since.

Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director Givemore Makoni expressed his excitement:
“Matches between our two nations have always produced entertaining cricket. This tour comes at a crucial time as we prepare for the T20 World Cup qualifiers.”
All five matches of the series will be held at the Harare Sports Club, beginning August 29.
