IPL 2025 Receives Bomb Threat In Jaipur Stadium

After the Indian state of Rajasthan closed its border following successful Operation Sindoor, security has been tightened at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur after a bomb threat was received via email. The venue is scheduled to host an IPL 2025 match on May 16 between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings.

As reported by ANI, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium has confirmed that they received the bomb threat through an email with the message, “Save everyone, if you can.” Authorities have launched an immediate evacuation of the stadium premises, and bomb disposal squads are on alert at the venue in Jaipur.

Rajasthan’s security forces are on high alert after a bomb threat was sent via email to the Rajasthan Police Commissioner to blast the Indian Premier League 2025 venue in Jaipur. Rajasthan Sports Council president Neeraj K. Pawan confirmed that the whole stadium was evacuated after the bomb threat.

Neeraj K. Pawan was quoted as saying by ANI, “We received a bomb threat through email. The mail was then sent to the police commissioner. The bomb disposal squad and frisking team have arrived here. The investigation is underway. The stadium has been completely evacuated.”

Rajasthan on high alert after Operation Sindoor

Rajasthan is on high alert as security has been tightened along its 1,037-km border with Pakistan. The entire border has been sealed, and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have been given shoot-on-sight orders if they notice any suspicious activity.

Only residents are allowed to move near the border. Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force is also on high alert. Fighter jets are patrolling the skies in the western sector, and missile defense systems are also active. As a precaution, flight operations from Jodhpur, Kishangarh, and Bikaner airports have been suspended until May 9.

Meanwhile, before the Rajasthan Police Commissioner, the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) got a threatening message from an ID named ‘Pakistan JK,’ warning, “We will blast your stadium.” Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium has been hosting Gujarat Titans’ home matches in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025.

Gujarat Titans’ next Indian Premier League 2025 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium is scheduled on May 14 against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

On the same day, on May 7, during the Kolkata Knight Riders versus Chennai Super Kings IPL 2025 match at Eden Gardens, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) also received a bomb threat via email. The suspicious message was found in the official inbox while the game was underway.

As tensions between India and Pakistan continue to rise, the future of the ongoing IPL 2025 is being closely monitored by the BCCI and IPL officials. They are keeping an eye on the situation and are prepared to make any necessary decisions if the situation worsens. For now, the situation remains stable, and the remaining IPL 2025 matches are expected to go ahead as planned.
