In a huge blow for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the star opening batsman Phil Salt has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match against the Delhi Capitals (DC).
The Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are taking on each other in the 46th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday, April 27.

Phil Salt ruled out of the match due to a fever
Speaking after winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Rajat Patidar revealed that Phil Salt has a fever and they have brought in Jacob Bethell as his replacement. He said:
“We like to chase. It’s our first win at our home and we will try to continue playing good cricket. In every match, we are trying to improve, so we want to keep learning. Bethell has come in place of Salt (who has a fever).”
