Punjab Kings (PBKS) will take on the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 58th match of IPL 2025. This article provides details about Delhi Capitals’ Playing 11 vs Punjab Kings for match 58 of IPL 2025.

Delhi Capitals Playing 11 vs Punjab Kings- IPL 2025, Match 58:

Openers: Abishek Porel, Faf du Plessis

Abhishek Porel is expected to open the innings for DC along with Faf du Plessis in the upcoming game against PBKS. The left-hander would like to regain his lost form at a batting-friendly wicket in Dharamsala.

Faf du Plessis, on the other hand, will look to get the team off to a solid start and make a decisive contribution to help them register an important win against PBKS.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Karun Nair, KL Rahul (wk), Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel (c), Ashutosh Sharma

DC’s middle order hasn’t been in great form in the second half of the tournament, which is evident by the fact that the team has lost four out of the last seven games.

The story was no different in the last match against SRH as the top five DC batters were dismissed in quick succession courtesy of some poor shot selection.

One of DC’s most experienced batters, KL Rahul, was yet again dismissed for a low score as he chased an outside off delivery and only managed to nick it through to the keeper.

Rahul hasn’t made a match-winning contribution since the attacking innings against RCB at his home ground, which raised Delhi Capitals’ hopes of winning their first IPL trophy in the 18th edition.

Karun Nair, who has been short of runs in the last few matches, would like to make full use of the conditions and get a big score under his belt in an important game against PBKS.

Axar Patel’s form has also dipped as the tournament has progressed, which isn’t a good sign for Delhi Capitals, with them looking to win three matches on the trot to entertain their playoff chances.

Bowlers: Kuldeep Yadav, Vipraj Nigam, Mitchell Starc, Dushmantha Chameera, T Natarajan

Starc has also looked off colour in the last few matches and has leaked runs in all three phases of the innings. Starc’s inability to take wickets with the new ball has come to haunt DC off late.

The constant chopping and changing, along with the lack of form of certain players, has made things difficult for Delhi Capitals, who are struggling to identify a set playing XI at this point in the tournament.

Delhi Capitals decided to go with T Natarajan after persisting with Mukesh Kumar for a significant amount of time in the last game against SRH, which got washed out after the first innings.

It would be interesting to see how the trio of Starc, Chameera, and Natarajan perform in the next match if DC decides to stick with the same combination in the fast bowling department.

DC’s spin department, comprising Vipraj Nigam, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav, has done its job by picking wickets in all phases of the innings and has given DC a fair chance of winning on various occasions.
