Mumbai Indians have faced a major setback after losing their IPL 2025 clash to Gujarat Titans by three wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, May 6.
Actually, the Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians have found themselves breaching the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offenses for the second time in the ongoing season.
Double trouble for Mumbai Indians after Gujarat Titans game at Wankhede Stadium
On Wednesday, the IPL announced that Hardik Pandya has been fined INR24 lakh for maintaining a slow over rate during Match 56 of the ongoing IPL 2025 against Gujarat Titans at Wankhede Stadium.

On the other hand, the rest of the playing XI, including the Impact Player and concussion substitute, have also been fined either INR 6 lakh or 25% of their match fee, whichever is lower.
Ashish Nehra penalized for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct
Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans head coach Ashish Nehra has also been fined 25% of his match fee and given one demerit point for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct. Nehra admitted to a Level 1 offense under Article 2.20, which relates to behavior against the spirit of the game.
