Singer Rahul Vaidya has continued his tirade against Virat Kohli. It all started when he decided to have some fun at the expense of the cricket superstar after the latter’s recent social media gaffe.
Virat Kohli recently set social media abuzz with just one ‘like’. The former India skipper landed in a controversy after liking actress Avneet Kaur’s photo on Instagram.
Kohli had to issue a clarification
After the fans started teasing and mocking Kohli, the former India captain issued a clarification and claimed that he did not intend to like the photo, but it happened because of an algorithm glitch.
Kohli’s explanation might not have impressed Rahul Vaidya as the singer took a dig at him, saying: “Main kehna chahta hoon ki aaj ke baad aisa ho sakta hai ki algorithm bohot saare photos like karde jo maine nahi kare.
“So, jo bhi ladki ho (I want to say that going forward, the algorithm might like many photos which I didn’t like. So, the girls), please don’t do PR around it because it is not my mistake. It is Instagram’s mistake, okay?”

Later, Vaidya also claimed that Kohli has blocked him on Instagram because of the post. While revealing it, Vaidya took another dig at Kohli, saying that it might just be an ‘Instagram glitch’.
“So guys, Virat Kohli has blocked me, as you all know. I think that too is an Instagram glitch. Virat Kohli didn’t block me. Instagram ke algorithm ne bola hoga Virat Kohli ko ki, ‘Ek kaam kar, main tere behalf pe Rahul Vaidya ko block kar deti hoon.’ Hain na? (Instagram’s algorithm told Virat Kohli, ‘I’ll block Rahul Vaidya on your behalf.’) Right?” he said.
Vaidya comments did not go down well with a number of Kohli fans and they decided to target him.
In response, Vaidya hit back at Kohli and his fans while also indirectly calling the batsman a joker. In his Instagram story, Rahul said, “Virat Kohli’s fans are even bigger jokers than Virat!
“And now you are abusing me — that’s fine — but you are abusing my wife and my sister, who have nothing to do with this! So I was right. That’s why you all Virat Kohli fans are jokers! 2 kaudi ke (worthless) jokers,” he added.
Rahul Vaidya targets Virat Kohli again:
Vaidya has not stopped targeting Virat Kohli. After slamming the India batsman and his fans, he took a shot at them once again in his latest Instagram story.
The singer posted a photo with a message that called Kohli fans ‘great jokers’. The same message also took a dig at RCB’s failure to win the IPL so far.

Meanwhile, Kohli is currently busy playing for RCB in IPL 2025. Both Kohli and RCB are enjoying an impressive campaign.
While RCB are at the top of the points table, Kohli is the leading run-scorer this season. With form on their side, RCB will be hoping to go all the way and end their long wait for a maiden IPL title.
